@atomicpoet @Lxtruong @shoq @darnell @taylorlorenz yes but it doesn't look like a quote. It is even worse than how it looks if you make it in Mastodon itself.
If everyone agrees that inserting a link to a toot/post means some kind of quote, then it should also be formatted correct in the different kind of fediverse software

@atomicpoet @Lxtruong @shoq @darnell @taylorlorenz yes agree, and i hope that Mastodon will make it more userfriendly. It should also not open the quoted url in a new browser window when i click on it in the official app or web. Other apps have fortunately changed that

@atomicpoet @Lxtruong @shoq @darnell @taylorlorenz that is not possible, because there is currently no fediverse software that will make me quote a post so it also looks pretty for all my Mastodon viewers. Other software can only change my experience, not my viewers experience, and since i care about my viewers experience it can currently not be done

@Lxtruong @atomicpoet @shoq @darnell @taylorlorenz it is also a problem for Calckey users that wants to socialize with everyone on the fediverse, including the many users on Mastodon. Why write quotes on a Calckey platform if noone can read them?
