I like to have control of my own data. This week I moved everything from managed hosting to VPS at Digitalocean. Everything went smooth, however I don't like I have to use 3rd party service to send mails. Is it possible to setup SMTP server at DO that uses port 587?

Okay, I am trying to setup SendGrid on my server 🙂 I have setup Domain Authentication and got Postfix to redirect mails to SendGrid. In Sendgrid I can see under Activity that the mails are received by SendGrid, because they have status "Processing", but they are not delivered. Anyone experienced that and know what to do?

I just discovered that DigitalOcean block outgoing port 25 (SMTP port) by default, so no one can send mail on a DO server. How do I get that unblocked?
