Here were some of the unreasonable demands the US made to reach a trade agreement with Canada. I completely understand why Canada said no. Now American consumers will have to pay for higher tariffs on goods.

What made Canada reject a trade deal with Trump? According to Mark Carney, the US demanded, among other things, restrictions on which other countries Canada could enter into trade agreements with, and they also interfered with Canada's protection of the French language and culture.

The US national debt has exploded and interest rates are sky-high. In fact, the US now spends more on paying interest than on defense. It certainly doesn't look like Trump has managed to get the US economy under control.

Canada refused to finalize the trade agreement with the US because the US introduced unreasonable terms at the last minute, says Mark Carney. As a result, the trade war between Canada and the US is now flaring up again.
